Since 2001, this Berlin-based formation has won innumerable international chamber music competitions. Today this formation is considered as one of the finest German string ensembles and a deserving successor to its mentor, Alban Berg. This will be its first appearance at the Festival of Colmar.

Trained in Boston and Madrid, this Russian-born pianist won the Arthur Rubinstein Competition in 2001. Kirill Gerstein, who is often invited to perform with the most prestigious orchestras, is also a skillful chamber musician. He will make his first appearance in Colmar this year.
