ON THE FRINGE OF COLMAR
INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL: OFF 2013
Concerts and events, organized by the City of Colmar
All events of the OFF are free oh charge.
For more than twenty years, Colmar town council has been teaming up with the Festival to offer a series of free concerts at a variety of venues, including: the oïfhus, the Cloister of the Bibliothèque des Dominicains (a former monastery, today the town library), the Musée du Jouet toy museum, the André Malraux contemporary art space, Le Grillen and Colmar’s two hospitals. For the second time, a number of open-air concerts will be given in the town’s squares, in partnership with the Basel academy of Music. In 2013, the auditorium of the new Pôle Média Culture Edmond Gerrer will also present a concert of chamber music. This rich musical offering, accessible to all, highlights the desire to promote young talent and make Colmar a true "festival town". The Festival welcomes Russian pianist Nikita Mndoyants as its "musician in residence" for OFF 2013.
