Philippe Quint, Violin
"...technical courage and tireless energy" (The Times) "he is a violin virtuoso, whose brilliant interpretations perfectly justify his accolades." (Chicago Tribune)
Philippe Quint began his music studies at a very early age and joined Moscow's Special School for Child Prodigies. Nominated for the Grammy Awards on four occasions, he is one of those rare violinists capable of blending lyricism, poetry and impeccable virtuosity. Now an American citizen living in New York, he is founder and Artistic Director of the Mexico Festival's Chamber Music Series. He has also formed the quintet 'Quint', a band dedicated to exploring the music of Astor Piazolla and Argentine tango.
