Louis Dechambre, Piano
A multifaceted pianist, Louis Dechambre has a unique career and commitment. After taking his first steps on the harp, he studied piano with strong artistic personalities who led him to the highest level: Jean-Michel Dayez, Roger Muraro, Romano Pallottini, Pascal Godard and Jean-Marc Luisada.
A renowned musician, he regularly performs at festivals (Lille Piano Festival, Festival des Bobines et des Sons, Honfleur Lyrique, Musica Nigella, Saignon), in recitals (Nouveau Siècle, Théâtre du Cygne, Mairie du 11e arrondissement, etc.) and with orchestras (Orchestre Lalo, Orchestre de la classe de direction du Conservatoire de Lille). He won first prize in the Concours Musical de France with the Duo Tonket (specialising in transcriptions), as well as second prize in the André Charlier Competition.
In addition to his solo career, he began a Master's degree in orchestral conducting with Nicolas Krüger at the Royal Conservatoire of Mons, and entered the CNSMD in Paris in the classes of vocal conducting (Erika Guiomar) and vocal accompaniment (Anne Le Bozec). These formative encounters opened up a whole new world for him. He is currently a vocal coach at CMA 6 and at the CMA 12 opera workshop under the direction of Catherine Dune and Philippe Barbey-Lallia (Puccini's La Bohème in 2024, Bizet's Carmen in 2025). In October 2023, he won the Duo Prize at the International French Melody Interpretation Competition in Toulouse with William Shelton and joined the 25/26 class of Génération Opéra.
Louis is also involved in mediation and music education (DE graduate) and is interested in projects combining the arts and contemporary music. He participated in the creation of Orlando Bass's opera Malbouffe and the show Palermo Palermo with Pina Bausch's troupe at the Lille Opera. He also created a film concert for the Des Bobines et des Sons festival based on three silent films, and composed the music for a play entitled Lisa. In September 2025, Louis joined the Paris Opera Academy.
