Yvan Cassar, Piano
Yvan Cassar is one of the most renowned composers, arrangers, artistic directors and conductors of his generation in France. Recognised as an atypical and passionate artist, his uniqueness is distinguished by the diversity of his projects: among others, he has been the musical designer for major events such as the opening of the World Athletics Championships in Athens in 1997 with composer Vangelis, the grand concert at the Pyramids of Cairo alongside Jean-Michel Jarre, and major musical shows for artists such as Mylène Farmer and Johnny Hallyday. His recording work for many prestigious French artists does not distract him from conducting major international orchestras. At the same time, since 2015, Yvan Cassar has been the artistic and musical director of classical music shows for France Télévisions and programmes where pop meets classical music, such as Symphonissime. Since 2019, he has produced several albums, including Johnny symphonique, which he will present on tour in 2022 and 2023; Sur l'écran noir de mes nuits blanches, Natalie Dessay's tribute to Claude Nougaro; Caruso 1873, Roberto Alagna's tribute to the great Neapolitan tenor, with the Orchestre National d'Île-de-France; and a piano-voice album with Louis Chedid, which they will perform live in 2022. A first solo instrumental album followed by a tour is also planned for 2023.
